ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS SDN BHD was established in 1978. It was bought over by the existing shareholders in 1979. In 1983, the company moved its factory to its present fully owned location.

Over the years, continuous investment has been injected in up-grading the production capacity and improving product quality. In 1996, the company took possession of two more automated clearing-test and core drilling machines and one more automated winder to its existing semi-automated production line.

Further capital investment and expansion was charted for 1997, including expansion of the existing factory, purchase of other machinery to complete the automation of existing production line and an automated line for aluminium can capacitor.

At the end of 1997, ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS SDN BHD became the one and only company in the whole of Malaysia owning an automated line for the production of aluminium can capacitor. With this new line in place, the Company intends to penetrate into companies that are currently importing this type of capacitors and ASEAN countries that have demand for such capacitors thus helping the Malaysian Trade Balances.

It is the management's intention to achieve international quality standard ISO 9002 by the year 2003.
